Motorcycle Repairs and Servicing

We are able to service and repair 99% of motorcycles (except Chinese – see Text below pics), whether it’s a minor service with oil and filter for your moped, an intermediate service for your cruiser, or a major service as per manufacturers’ spec, we can undertake it all.

Our costs (£50/hr) are not anywhere near dealer prices and you will find it good value!

We use only quality parts from known suppliers or OEM. If you require Original Equipment from the manufacturer (OEM) parts (as some of our Harley customers do) we can accommodate this. We do not use Chinese parts from ebay for any repairs and we generally do not fit customer supplied parts (see below photos for reasons)

We also undertake brake servicing, fork service (oil, bushes and seals), new chain and sprockets,
new batteries etc .
Note: We will reset any service lights that are required e.g Hondas, BMWs, Triumphs, etc.

CHINESE MOTORCYCLES

We have found that amount of time and effort spent is just not worth our while. There are no parts available even for 2 year old models. Just trying to find parts can take hrs. They are just not supported like the Japanese, and German bikes. Some Italian parts may take a few weeks to turn up, but they do arrive.

When we do try to fix them……bolts snap or strip, plastic shatters.

They are just made of cheese. They are cheap for a reason!

LIABILITY WHEN INSTALING CUSTOMER SUPPLIED PARTS

When a business installs a customer supplied part they are accepting the liability regardless if the failure is caused by the part itself or improper installation of said part. Due to the amount of counterfeit parts, even OEM and well know makes, this has become a significant risk for the business.

There are no waivers a garage can print and have the customer sign on the repair order that will limit the exposure to the business. In fact, the very nature of a business typing a disclaimer on a repair order is a basic admittance that they know there is a higher risk of failure.

It doesn’t matter if the consumer purchased the part from a dealer, online, a parts warehouse etc… In the eyes of the court the garage/technician is the professional, he/she was the last one to put their hands on the part and should have known if that part was not good quality or that the part was going to fail.

By accepting to undertake the job, we have assumed responsibility, which includes the acceptance of the reasonable quality of the supplied parts. In order to not be held responsible, we would have to prove beyond all reasonable doubt that the parts, and not our involvement in the repair, caused the failure. Clearly, this could be very, very difficult.

We will fit OEM parts from you supported by your Invoice and the parts sent to you at your home address.

Please do not ask us to fit anything else.
